Warning: Contains gigantic spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 6, episode 9.

LONDON -- The Battle of the Bastards has been fought and won.

The fight was full of heroes, but there were none bigger than everyone's favourite giant, Wun Wun. Sure, Jon Snow was brave and everything, but if they hadn't had Wun Wun's sweet size they never would have been able to wrap things up at Winterfell as quickly as they did.

Sadly, in the cruel world of Westeros, not everyone can make it through unscathed.

As soon as Wun Wun crumpled to the floor in the castle courtyard after smashing his way through the barred doors, fans flocked to social media to pay tribute to the gigantic warrior.

Many commented on his awesome fighting prowess.

Others said they knew it was coming.

Some people, meanwhile, were frustrated that no one had thought to give the big guy a weapon.

And others drew parallels to the death of another beloved giant.

Mostly, though, people wanted to take a moment to remember just how damn badass he was.
