British teens are reacting hilariously to their disastrous biology exam

LONDON -- Anyone who isn't convinced about the stress-relieving effects of memes should take a look at the #aqabiology hashtag.

GCSE exams -- the ones all 15- and 16-year olds take at the end of secondary school -- have kicked off in Britain this week.

On Tuesday, it was time for biology. People weren't exactly feeling confident going in.

Judging by the reactions on Twitter after the exam, though, it wasn't as bad as everyone had feared.

It was worse. Much, much worse.

Many people were complaining that the exam barely had any questions on the stuff they'd actually revised.

One teen took to Reddit to offer an explanation.

Although there wasn't much on the carbon cycle, there were apparently plenty of questions about drunk rats, drunk teenagers, mosquitos and "independent business".

People really weren't a fan of the "Independent business" question.

The underage drinking question didn't go down too well, either.

Basically the whole exam was a bit of a catastrophe.
