This Gene Wilder tribute is corny in the best possible way

Fans of Gene Wilder, the comic actor and writer who played Willy Wonka and starred in Mel Brooks' classic Young Frankenstein, are remembering his extraordinary career in all sorts of ways.

But one particular homage has touched our hearts for its wild imagination:

York Maze, the largest maze in the UK with 1 million living maize plants, has shared on Twitter a picture of its cornfield to represent his character in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
