Erroneous claims. Numbers that don't add up. Fake news. Dubious facts.

This is what we the public must deal with in the run-up to elections. And just because the UK general election on Thursday came up by surprise, doesn't mean that the political parties haven't had plenty of time to make their claims.

We've teamed up with Full Fact, the UK's independent and non-partisan factchecking organisation, to bring you these checks and debunks of the issues most important to you. If you just can't get enough, there's plenty more on their site, where they check all sorts of claims from politicians and the media.
