George R.R. Martin heads to Mexico before buckling down on 'Winds of Winter'
The North remembers, and the South will too.
George R. R. Martin, author of A Song of Ice and Fire, will head to Guadalajara on Nov. 30 for the International Book Fair, his last public appearance of 2017 and one of few scheduled between now and when he finishes writing his next book.
Martin will join the conference as a speaker and special guest, where he will do press interviews and a live streaming event in addition to signing books.
"I expect I will be doing some tequila tasting as well," he wrote on his blog, because what better research for Westerosi history than to drink?
Martin said he was looking forward to meeting his Mexican fans and publishers, and that it was his first real trip south of the border.
"My appearance schedule for 2017 is very limited, and will remain so until WINDS is completed," Martin added. "So if you want to meet me or get a book signed, this will be the last chance for a good few months..."
