Stop flushing your wet wipes down the toilet.

If the message has not sunk in, perhaps this photo will help clear up the terrible misunderstanding:

Yep, that is a giant pile of wet wipes after about a million Australians decided to flush away their makeup from the night before. It is a hard message to spread, but if a massive clump, or fatberg, of crap doesn't do it, then nothing will.

Wet wipes have been wreaking havoc on our sewer systems for years, with fatbergs -- massive congregations of wet wipes, sanitary pads and similar non-flushable items in one dirty mess -- growing under our cities, destroying our plumbing and causing headaches for water companies.

There are even multiple campaigns running begging the public to think before they flush. Have faith, it is better than your house exploding in a volcano of 'berg.

This particular gathering of used wet wipes occurred in the Australian suburb of Eleebana in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. The seven-metre, 750-kilogram snake of destruction was pulled out from a sewer pipe by a crane -- yes, a damn crane -- as a message to the world: Stop flushing your wet wipes.

In a horrid twist, the remaining 300 kilograms was removed by hand. In the future, anyone who flushes a single wet wipe will be sent to lend a hand.

Hunter Water's Nick Kaiser told ABC News despite brand's advertising, the wipes were definitely not flushable. He has seen the hell on Earth first hand.

"The wet wipes are being advertised as basically an extra way to freshen yourself up after the bathroom," he said. "The whole flushable wet wipe issue is actually a global issue."

It is also a personal issue, that starts with every human who decides to flush instead of bin a wet wipe. Next time you do, just remember: FATBERG.
