Hidden among the other Easter eggs and basket grass over the weekend was exciting news for fans of the time-and-globe-hopping villain Carmen Sandiego: she's coming to Netflix and she'll be voiced by Jane The Virgin star Gina Rodriguez.

And now she's added a new image to her Instagram that has fans demanding the series NOW.

Rodriguez confirmed reports on Twitter on Friday, saying she'll voice Carmen for the upcoming animated series.

Rodriguez has kept the fun going on Twitter since.

The new animated series, hitting Netflix at a yet-to-be-announced date, follows a bevy of Carmen Sandiego-themed affairs that began with the video game Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego in the 1980s that forced kids to LEARN things via terrible puns in order to find the titular character in order to catch up with her after she stole the Queen's jewels or another historic and valuable artifact.

This led to the famous PBS game show and an animated series plus books and tabletop games and a comic series and a Carmen Sandiego app and lord what else oh yeah rumors that either Sandra Bullock or Jennifer Lopez would eventually portray her in a film.

It could be a sign of big things to come for the incredibly talented Rodriguez. After all, one of the more prominent voices to give life to Sandiego was Rita Moreno, who voiced the villain in the animated series. Moreno is, of course, an EGOT winner best known for her Oscar-winning role as "Anita" in West Side Story, and recently played Rodriguez' grandmother on Jane the Virgin.
