Girl Scout cookie season is here through spring and through the season may vary slightly according to your local council's schedule, chances are there are a few boxes circulating your office right now.

Sadly, you might not see some of your favorite cookies from years past on the order list this year.

It's a circle of life, all good things come to an end, be happy for the time you had, etc.

Absolutely none of those phrases matter when your favorite Girl Scout cookie gets discontinued.

No matter how many tweets you send or nights you spend weeping over empty cookie boxes, if the cookies don't sell, the lack of proceeds may result in the cookies' unfortunate demise.

Here lie a few of the dearly departed late, great Girl Scout cookies from years past.

1. Animal Treasures (1999-2005)

Mouth-watering shortbread cookie dipped in rich fudge and embossed with endangered animals.

Unless you put some in a time capsule in your parents' backyard, you'll have a hard time finding these treasures ever again.

2. Cinna-Spins (2007-2008)

Crispy oatmeal rounds with a cinnamon burst in every bite, in 100-calorie packs.

These didn't spin people right 'round enough to stay alive.

3. Daisy Go Rounds (2008-2010)

Crispy cinnamon flowers blooming with flavor in every bite, in 100-calorie snack packs.

You don't want your Girl Scout cookies to be separated into calorie-conscious packs. You want to down the entire box with no guilt.

4. Five World Cinnamons (1996-2001) Savory cinnamon sugar confections featuring Girl Scouting’s Five Worlds of Interest.

Clearly the interest stopped before this could overtake the Thin Mint juggernaut.

5. Iced Berry Piñatas (2003-2005)

Luscious treats bursting with strawberry jam, topped with cinnamon crumbs and a delicate white sugar icing.

Cookies without chocolate can be a hard sell. It's not your fault, Piñatas.

6. Praline Royale (1991-1993)

Rich, chewy center of pralines, pecans and coconut in a vanilla cookie topped with chocolaty icing.

Like German chocolate cake in cookie form.

7. Shout Outs (2010-2012)

Light and crisp Belgian-style caramelized cookies

These sound like they might be related to Speculoos, in which case, what a cruel, cruel world we live in now that they are gone.

8. Mango Cremes (2013)

Mango and coconut, we barely knew ya.

It's really a surprise these caramel cookies didn't make the cut.

12. Chocolate Chip Shortbread (2013-2014)

Chocolate chips nestled in a bite-size, gluten-free shortbread cookie. Made with real chocolate chips and real butter.
