Gmail is bringing dark mode to its iOS and Android apps.

Google sent out a tweet Tuesday morning that I think is trying to spell out the "Imperial March" from Star Wars. It shows us what "Dark Theme" will look like and, hell yeah, it looks pretty good.

Even better: Over on Google's G Suite blog, the company says dark mode should begin rolling out on Tuesday. Google notes, though, it could take more than two weeks for the option to appear on your phone.

For Android, you have three options. Setting your entire system to Dark Theme will automatically switch it on for Gmail. You can also select it from the "Theme" tab in Gmail's settings. And, most helpful, the mode will automatically be enabled on Pixel phones that are put in Battery Saving mode.

On iOS, it all depends on which version you have. The iOS 13 options are the same as Android: you can either select it in Gmail's "Theme" settings or it'll automatically switch on when you enable Dark Mode across your entire phone. And if you're on iOS 11 or 12, you should be able to switch it on under Gmail's settings tab.
