The 2019 Golden Globes kicked off Sunday night with our dream hosts, Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg.

Oh and Samberg joked that they were hosting because they're the only people in Hollywood who haven't said something offensive. They then proceeded to trash the "race" of the Hollywood Half-Marathon.

Instead of roasting the night's nominees ("Gervais-style"), Oh and Samberg dished out glowing compliments in derisive tones ("Michael B. Jordan?" "More like Michael B. Buff A.F. You a snack, Michael!").

Oh and Samberg all but stole the show at the 2018 Emmys, where they presented together and miraculously met for the first time. Their natural chemistry and almost-immediate Twitter reactions begging them to host something contributed to NBC snapping the two up for the Globes.

Perhaps the only thing reminiscent of a jab was Oh saying that Crazy Rich Asians was the first blockbusting film starring Asians since Ghost in the Shell and Aloha (from the sound of it, Emma Stone loudly apologized for that one in the room).

They praised Black Panther, Crazy Rich Asians, Roma, If Beale Street Could Talk, and more cinematic milestones for representation, ending on Oh taking a moment to share what it meant for her to host at a time like this.

"I see you," she said and repeated to fellow artists of color in the audience. "I see you."

We see you too, Sandra.
