Six games into the season, Golden Tate finally has a reason to dance.

The Detroit Lions wide receiver hadn't found the endzone all season. That was until Sunday, when Tate recorded a 23-yard touchdown to tie the Rams in the fourth quarter.

Naturally, after such a long, personal scoring drought, Tate felt the need to celebrate.

He grabbed some pom-poms and joined the Lions cheerleaders without missing a beat.

“I was running back to the sideline and saw these ladies here that we just hired so why not party with them, you know,” Tate told ESPN. “Just having fun, man. That’s all that matters. Obviously execute your assignment and have fun, man."

The cheerleaders appeared to dig Tate's moves, offering him a spot on the squad.

No word yet on whether Tate's dancing violates the NFL's recently clarified touchdown celebration rules. Though his moves could technically fall under "choreographed celebrations" — which are prohibited — this seems pretty harmless.

But in a year where the NFL is cracking down on fun and individuality, you never know.
