Sundar Pichai, who's currently visiting India, will return to his Alma Mater on Jan. 5.

The Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur (IIT-K), a premier educational institution where Pichai earned his engineering degree in 1993, will host him, the Times of India reported.

In what would be his first visit to the campus as Google CEO, he will address students in an interactive session titled "A journey back to the past to inspire the future", confirmed IIT-K's director.

Pichai had pursued Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the institute and even earned a silver medal for his performance. His wife, too, is an alumni of IIT-K.

This is not the first time Pichai would be addressing students in India. During his last visit almost a year ago, he had addressed students in a Delhi University college where, besides revealing that he'd dreams of being a cricketer, he said that "India is uniquely positioned. There's tremendous interest in software development compared to other countries".

Besides the campus visit, Pichai will also host a Google event in the capital on Jan. 4. The tech giant is planning an announcement around small and medium businesses (SMBs) in India.

Meanwhile, before heading for work, Pichai was seen vacationing with his family in Jaipur.
