Google Maps now tells you exactly how much those toll roads will cost
You can't help the raging gas prices, but maybe you can save a little on avoiding the pricy toll roads.
With this in mind, Google has activated a new feature on Maps that shows you the cost of toll roads on your trip. It is now live on both Android and iOS devices.
In a support post, the company said it uses "trusted information from local tolling authorities" to get the figures. The system also looks at a number of factors to determine the prices, including whether you have a toll pass or not, day of the week, and the exact toll price at the specific time you'll be crossing it.

In the settings, you'll also have the old option of navigating in such a way to avoid toll roads completely, should you desire to do so.
Google originally announced this feature in April, saying it would roll out later that month, but we had to wait a little longer for it to go live. It's only live on mobile devices, with no word as to when it might show up on the web.
The feature is currently live for "nearly 2000 toll roads" in the U.S., India, Japan and Indonesia, and Google says more countries are coming "soon."
