Google wants to know what you'd like to see in the Pixel 2

Google's Pixel and Pixel XL are, without question, two of the best Android phones ever created.

There's lots to love. Its "pure" Android software is fast and smooth, the camera is one of the best and sometimes even better than the iPhone's, battery life is excellent and it's Daydream-ready for mobile VR.

But the phones are by no means perfect.

In a post on the Pixel User Community board, Google's Krishna Kumar, the product lead on the Pixel, asks to hear thoughts on the current Pixel phones and what Google can improve for future devices.

"What do you like about the design?" Kumar asks. "What do you hate about it? What did we get right? What would you like to see us improve?"

I can't speak for everyone, but I didn't like the design. I thought it was ugly, boring and uninspired. The aluminum body feels nice, but that glass panel on the back just didn't do much for me.

Nor was I impressed by the wedge-shaped chassis. While the shape helped eliminate the camera bump and allow for a larger battery to fit, it felt unbalanced with the topside feeling heavier than the bottom.

I also would have liked to see water resistance, stereo speakers, and wireless charging. And, while I'm being honest, a lower price, iris scanner and thinner bezels around the display would all be nice to see on the Pixel 2.

One trend I don't want to see manifest on the Pixel 2 is the lack of a headphone jack.

Of course, just because Google's asking for feedback doesn't necessarily mean it'll actually listen to any of it. Still, it doesn't hurt to share your thoughts.
