Sorry Google, the party has been spoiled. UK store Carphone Warehouse posted its Pixel and Pixel XL product pages a bit prematurely, and though the company has taken them down fast, we managed to grab screenshots and a full set of specifications for both devices.

The pages (both the Pixel and Pixel XL pages now return a 404 error), first noticed by 9to5Google, pretty much confirm earlier leaks: The Pixel is a 5-inch phone with a full HD AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32/128GB of storage (expandable via microSD cards) a 12-megapixel shooter on the back, an 8-megapixel selfie cam and a 2,770mAh battery.

The Pixel XL is a 5.5-inch phone with a quad HD, 1,440x2,560 pixel resolution AMOLED screen and a 3,450mAh battery -- the rest of the specs are the same as its little brother's.

Both phones have a fingerprint sensor on the back and support fast, USB Type-C charging. They are pretty much identical in terms of design (and in line with previously leaked images). The smaller Pixel is 143.8 x 69.5 x 8.6 mm in size and weighs 143 grams; the Pixel XL measures 154.7 x 75.7 x 8.6 mm and weighs 168 grams.

A word of caution: It's quite possible that some of these specs were pre-filled with generic figures. For example, Pixel's product page says it has a "Quad HD" screen, but the resolution is listed as 1,080x1,920 pixels, which is full HD. So there might be a surprise or two left for tomorrow's Google event, though with the amount of leaks we've seen for these two devices, it probably won't happen.

On the software side, the phones run Android Nougat 7.1 and come with a number of Google-specific features, including the built-in Google Assistant as well as pre-installed Google Duo and Allo apps.

Unlike Google's Nexus devices, the Pixels have prominent Google branding, both in the form of a "G" on the back and the "Phone by Google" tagline on the product pages.
