Google unveils the new Daydream View
Google is taking another stab at affordable virtual reality with an upgraded Daydream View headset.
It has a new lineup of colors, "upgraded lenses," and a new fabric. Google unveiled the device at its Pixel event Wednesday in San Francisco.
The new Daydream view will be compatible with a YouTube library of original movies and TV shows customized for virtual reality. Its starting price is $99 -- $20 more expensive than the previous model. The device will work with all Daydream-compatible phones.
With small but significant improvements from its predecessor, the new Daydream View promises to be a slightly pricier, but more colorful and comfortable, competitor to Samsung's Gear VR.
You can order it on Google's store.
