Apart from existential worries about whether or not certain heroes are dead, there's a less persistent but oft-repeated question Game of Thrones fans have been wondering: "Where's Bran?"

He's exactly where we left him! Sort of. But he's taller. In new stills from Season 6 episode 2, "Home," you'll see that Bran and other characters absent from the premiere are finally returning to the story.

The official synopsis for "Home" is as follows:

Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) trains with the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow). In King’s Landing, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) advises Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman). Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) demands good news, but has to make his own. At Castle Black, the Night’s Watch stands behind Thorne (Owen Teale). Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) proposes a plan, and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) entertains other proposals.

Bran, who lost the use of his legs way back in Season 1, appears standing -- which falls just short of revelatory, since fans know he can cast his consciousness into other creatures and see through their eyes. In this case, he could either be occupying another person's body, or having one of those legendary dreams that led him north in search of the Raven in the first place.

Bran's pal Meera is also back, though her brother Jojen is still dead.

Then there's the Iron Islands, which have been led by Theon's sister Yara since his unfortunate kidnapping/brainwashing. In the photo, Yara speaks to her father, who all but abandoned Theon after receiving physical evidence that his son could not continue the Greyjoy line.

Also absent from the Season 6 premiere was Missandei, though we did see the state of life in Mereen through Tyrion and Varys. In a new still, Varys and Missandei sit together, perhaps ruminating on life in a Khaleesi-less city and whether Daario and Jorah have come any closer to finding their fearless leader.

The last two stills show Dolorous Edd and Alliser looking gloomy up at the Wall with the Night's Watch -- because now that Jon Snow is gone, someone has to take up the mantle of the brotherhood's brooding face.
