Life after college can really hit you in the face.

On Saturday, University of Texas senior Meagan Richards joined hundreds of fellow graduates for the college's annual graduation fireworks.

During the grand finale — that very loud part of fireworks everyone pretends to like — a group of graduates tossed their caps into the air.

However, one of Meagan's classmates seemed to have it in for her with their cap toss.

"UT had to serve me one last L before I left," she wrote.

Luckily, Meagan received many delighted tweets as a consolation prize — as well as over 17,000 retweets.

Welcome to the real world, Meagan. Please watch out for flying hats.
