Welcome to the world, grads!

Graduation day is a glorious time for celebration, until you remember you have to find a job and muster up some sort of plan for the future.

For one unfortunate graduate, that moment of painful realization came a lot sooner than necessary when his older sibling texted him MID-CEREMONY to remind him of his imminent responsibilities.

"I texted my younger brother during graduation to remind him that full time employment is right around the corner," Reddit user Handsome_McAwesome posted on the site, alongside a photo that perfectly captured the look of horror and anger that followed.

Amidst a sea of forward-facing graduation caps Handsome_McAwesome's brother is seen turning around to make direct eye contact.

He bears a facial expression that screams, "REALLY????!!! YOU COULDN'T HAVE JUST LET ME HAD THESE FINAL MOMENTS OF YOUTH?"

Our hearts go out to him. Handsome_McAwesome, however, feels absolutely no guilt, citing "watching the next generation get crushed" as one of the few joys of adulthood.

A truly savage reality.
