Beyoncé has broken the record for the most Grammys Awards ever won, surpassing conductor Georg Solti with her 32nd win. This officially makes Queen Bey the most decorated artist in the Grammy Awards' 64-year history.

The historic award was the 2023 Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album, given to Beyoncé for her album Renaissance. The singer had been up against Bonobo's Fragments, Diplo by Diplo, Odesza's The Last Goodbye, and Surrender by Rüfüs Du Sol.

The announcement of Beyonce's win was met with prolonged cheers and a standing ovation from the audience.

"I'm trying not to be too emotional," Beyoncé said in her acceptance speech. "I'm trying to just receive this night."

The award was Beyoncé's fourth Grammy win of the night, having already won Best R&B Song for "Cuff It," Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Plastic Off the Sofa," and Best Dance/Electronic Recording for "Break My Soul." Her nine nominations also make her the most nominated artist at the Grammys this year — though she didn't take out Album of the Year, as some had hoped.

In addition to thanking God and her family, Beyoncé made special mention of her late "Uncle" Jonny, her mother's nephew and a gay man who passed away due to HIV. She has previously credited him as the one who introduced her to the music and culture that inspired Renaissance, and explicitly included him in its song "Heated" ("Uncle Jonny made my dress / That cheap spandex, she looks a mess").

She also thanked "the queer community for your love and for inventing the genre."
