'GTA 6': The official trailer release date just dropped
Stop what you're doing and clear out your schedule next week. Grand Theft Auto VI is about to make its big debut.
GTA 6 is set for a trailer reveal on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. ET, Rockstar Games confirmed with a tweet on Friday.
That's right! Ten whole years after GTA 5 came out, and somehow persisted in popularity across three console generations, the next big game in the Grand Theft Auto series is just a few days from showing its face.

It's about time
GTA 6 has been the subject of speculation and rumor-mongering more than any other game in history. Tuesday's reveal could finally answer a lot of questions about the game's setting, characters, timeline, and central mechanics — or it could leave us with even more questions than before.
To be fair, though, we do kinda already know what to expect from GTA 6 because early materials from the game leaked online about a year ago. For instance, we're pretty sure it takes place in a modern-day rendition of Vice City (Rockstar's take on Miami), and a series-first female protagonist is almost certainly in the cards, too. Aside from that, though, it's anyone's guess as to how Rockstar will evolve the series that put the studio on the map.
Block out your morning and maybe even call in sick if you have to. Whatever you had previously scheduled for Tuesday morning is clearly not as important as this.
