Vintage recipe card is hilarious proof of a grandmother's love
If your grandmother ever cut the crusts off your peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you'll appreciate this grandma's attention to detail.
Imgur user JENBubble, whose real name is Julie, posted a photo Wednesday of a recipe for "Pineapple Snack Cake" she found in her beloved grandmother's old recipe box.

Not only does the snack sound pretty delicious (all fruit cake prejudice aside), Gram also made special alterations to fit her granddaughter's tastes.
"I don't put in nuts," read the instructions, "as Julie doesn't like them."
Dang, Julie. You lucked out.
But we don't just love this note for its commitment to Julie's snacking experience. We also love what it implies for literally everyone else who uses this recipe — that since Julie doesn't like nuts, you should also consider leaving them out. You know, out of respect.
"I was very close to my Gram and she spoiled me so much, taught me a lot in the kitchen," Julie wrote alongside the photo. "When it was stormy, she would find me and make sure I wasn't scared of the thunder/lightning and if I was would comfort me.
"We would usually read books every night and eat great snacks," she added.
Now that's love.
