Nobody likes a wedding crasher -- unless that crasher is Philadelphia Flyers mascot and hero of the Weird Internet, Gritty.

On Friday, photos and videos surfaced from a wedding in Philadelphia where the Great Orange One appears to have dropped in unannounced to the utter delight to everyone involved.

Now, there's still a question as to whether or not this is THE Gritty or simply an impostor that goes around Philly posing as the OG Gritty, kind of like a mall Santa. We've reached out to the Flyers for comment but either way, it seems the wedding guests were more than happy to have Gritty bring his weird, googly-eyed brand of fun to the party. Of course, observers on social media -- where Gritty became an instant legend -- were more than a little jealous.

Gritty has been making the rounds since his debut this fall, appearing in wedding cake form and as the symbol of the resistance against a recent alt-right protest in Philadelphia.

It just goes to show how rapidly Gritty has risen to become the most powerful of symbols: he is whatever you want him to be.

Long live Gritty.
