People think this video of a New Yorker smashing a windshield is fake

"A real New Yorker would have stayed & finished the job."

LONDON -- Two of New York City's more notorious features are its traffic and the brash mentality of its citizens (particularly regarding that traffic).

YouTube personality Coby Persin encountered both in an unfortunate incident caught on camera when he made the mistake of impeding a busy NYC street for a photoshoot.

Or did he?

The video shared to Twitter shows an encounter with an apparently enraged motorist who takes a bat to the windshield of the 21-year-old social media star's car.

However, the internet is wondering if Persin, whose videos typically depict social experiments and pranks, staged the whole thing.

Regardless of whether the video is authentic or not, the consensus seems to be that one should never block traffic in New York City.

Don't mess with New Yorkers. They will call you on your bullshit, whether with a bat or a strongly-worded tweet.
