Fans are obsessing over this image of Hailey Baldwin sitting on the toilet

"Why is she peeing with the toilet seat closed?!"

Oh, you'd prefer an open, gaping toilet bowl? Thought not.

Fans of Hailey Baldwin are obsessing over the model (for a weirder-than-usual reason) right now, and it involves her method of sitting on the toilet.

The 20-year-old is the newest covergirl for Issue #4 of Inprint Magazine, an Australian publication whose covers are usually graced by high fashion royalty like Julia Nobis, Gemma Ward, Charles Fraser and Fernanda Ly. But with an Instagram following of 9.6 million, Baldwin is in a league of her own when it comes to observant fans with zero chill.

The fun started when Baldwin shared one of the covers, featuring her sitting on a toilet. A theme started appearing among the comments: "Why is she peeing with the toilet seat closed?!"

The fact that Baldwin's toilet seat was down (while her undies were also down) had officially confounded the masses. "Sitting on a closed toilet with your panties around your ankles?!" they asked -- unheard of. And apparently unacceptable, despite the images obvious tongue-in-cheek-ness.

Sure, the cover could have featured Baldwin -- undies down, toilet seat up -- doing a number one but that would be illegal and nobody wants to see it. This is fashion (look it up) and a bit of reality-suspension never hurt anyone.

Inprint's founder and the shoot's stylist, Megha Kapoor, agrees. "I would never want to literally shoot her peeing, that's super crass," she said. Instead, the ex-Vogue creative took a light-hearted approach to the whole thing, with photographer Pierre Toussaint shooting the pic at the end of a "really great day."

"The story is about intimate moments with her and her letting her guard down -- she has a great sense of humour and this was an image I loved aesthetically and even more as it's a bit tongue and cheek," Kapoor said. "If anything it's more of a comment about her always being on the phone rather than on the loo!"

"It's funny what people focus on!" she added. You can say that again.
