'Hamilton' takes home 11 awards at the 2016 Tonys, including Best Musical

Lin-Manuel Miranda's revolutionary show Hamilton won 11 of the 16 awards it was nominated for at this evening's Tony Awards. Among those awards was the top prize for Best Musical.
In addition to Best Musical, Hamilton received Tony Awards for Best Lead Actor in a Musical (Leslie Odom Jr.), Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical (Renée Elise Goldsberry), Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical (Daveed Diggs), Best Original Score (Miranda), Best Book of a Musical (Miranda), Best Direction of a Musical (Thomas Kail), Best Choreography (Andy Blankenbuehler), Best Costume Design of a Musical (Paul Tazewell), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Howell Binkley) and Best Orchestrations (Alex Lacamoire).

As soon as living legend Barbra Streisand presented the Best Musical award to Hamilton, the audience erupted into a standing ovation.
"Alexander Hamilton was a dreamer," said Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller, who accepted the award. "I stand on this stage tonight, and in this theatre, surrounded by dreamers."
After accepting their award, the cast jubilantly closed out the live broadcast with a performance of Hamilton's "The Schuyler Sisters" in their red carpet attire.
Somehow getting tickets to Hamilton just probably got even more impossible.
