Ridiculous attack ad blasts congressional candidate dressed as Han Solo
I'm not saying I'd vote for Han Solo, I'm just saying I'd hear him out.
The United States of America just elected an aging reality TV star to the presidency, yet a Republican-backed super PAC believes constituents in Georgia will be startled by a Democratic congressional candidate who dressed up as Han Solo in college.
Former Capitol Hill staffer Jon Ossoff is barely out of his 20s, which appears to be the main point of this attack ad just released against him. He's young and the youngs are silly and bad.
Look, this video obliterates Ossoff's shot at being a famous actor. This complete, um, reimagining of Star Wars below should convince you of that.
But the makers of the ad aren't moving to Hollywood anytime soon, either. Plus, at least for folks on Twitter, the ad seems have the opposite of the intended effect.

While his acting career isn't going anywhere, Ossoff seems to have an oddly strong chance as a candidate for office in the Republican stronghold of Ga-6. He's raised $1.85 million. Georgia Congressman and Civil Rights icon John Lewis backs him. And the district he's trying to win nearly went for former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
I don't want to get Democrats too excited here, but, let us remember, Star Wars fans were first introduced to Han Solo in a movie titled A New Hope.
