Nope, 'Cursed Child' is not being made into a film trilogy
LONDON -- On Friday, rumours of a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child film adaptation began to circulate among the press.
The news suggested that the official eighth Harry Potter story -- currently being shown as a play in London and available worldwide via script -- was being considered for a film trilogy starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
The rumours, which all referenced the same quote from journalist Jim Hill in the Unofficial Universal Orlando podcast, were widely reported in the UK press.
Before the news could spread too far, however, J.K. Rowling stepped in to set the record straight.

For Harry Potter fans in countries other than the UK (and soon the US), the wait to watch the Cursed Child looks set to continue.
