Harry Potter fans have another reason to say cheers. While re-reading Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince, a food blogger from Mumbai decided to re-create the potion Felix Felicis as a heartwarming cocktail.

In Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince, Harry wins the potion during a class with Professor Slughorn, who describes Felix Felicis as "liquid luck," a rare potion that brings exceedingly good fortune to whoever consumes it.

Shirin Mehrotra told Mashable while the book doesn't mention a recipe, she imagined it to be alcoholic because Slughorn describes it as a drink that can cause giddiness, recklessness and dangerous confidence, "if taken in excess."

"Felix Felicis was something that I wanted to make for a very long time and always imagined it as a boozy drink that'll make you slightly tipsy," Mehrotra said. "The concoction that I made was a mix of sweet, sour, bitter with a hint of cinnamon."

The Felix Felicis drink was part of her Literary Kitchen Project, where she cooks a dish from every book that she has read and styles it the way it might be in the book. In the past, Mehrotra has also made ginger newts from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, beetroot soup and roasted sweet potato from Disgrace, and hot chocolate from Chocolat.

Mehrotra says her next inspiration may be Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Here's the recipe from her blog Foodchants.
