There is a Harry Potter Starbucks at Comic-Con and we need to be there now
If for some inexplicable reason you need further evidence that the Harry Potter phenomenon is alive and well, then look to the Hilton Bayfront Starbucks in San Diego, which has been bedecked in Potter paraphernalia this Comic-Con weekend.
Outside, where a line has already formed, you'll find decal paintings of our favorite magical trio, as well as Dumbledore and Voldemort facing off in front of a Hogwarts background.
Screens outside and inside play the Harry Potter movies on a loop. Look, here's the end of Prisoner of Azkaban!
And here's Hermione being done with boys in Goblet of Fire:
You enter through a brick wall, just like the one in the Leaky Cauldron that leads to Diagon Alley (even though it has a Platform 9 3/4 sign above it -- there's a lot going on in this Starbucks):
The inside is full of nods to the series, including a threatening missive from the Heir of Slytherin...
...And this mishmash of wanted posters from Prisoner of Azkaban, Order of the Phoenix, and Deathly Hallows:
The featured drinks include Butterbeer, Amortentia, and Polyjuice Potion. There's even Gillywater (non-alcoholic) if you're just a little dehydrated:
Oh, and there's a Boggart in the garbage, so practice that "Riddikulus!" charm and think of something funny.
Harry Potter has inspired other coffee shops and pop-ups, such as Bad Owl Coffee in the Las Vegas area, which opts for a subtler vibe. The Hilton Bayfront Starbucks is open daily from 5.30 a.m. to 6 p.m., so Apparate over as soon as you can!
