LOS ANGELES -- The 2016 Hearthstone World Championship is just around the corner and only eight competitors are left in the $1 million tournament. The players have locked in their decks and Blizzard gave Mashable a look at what all the pros will be coming to the table with Friday and Saturday.

Amnesiac, Che0nsu, Cydonia, DrHippi, Hamster, HotMeowth, Jasonzhou and Pavel are the eight players that qualified for the quarterfinals, and they'll be going head-to-head at BlizzCon in California.

The Americas have the largest representation in the playoffs with three killer players: Amnesiac, HotMeowth and Cydonia. The Europeans are represented by DrHippi and Pavel, the Chinese qualifiers are Jasonzhou and Hamster, and the Asia-Pacific region only has one player left, Che0nsu.

Here is a look at each players' five decks they've locked in for the playoffs and how they're looking at this point in the tournament:

Amnesiac

Amnesiac is one of the most dominant players in the World Championship right now, defeating Yulsic in the group stage and destroying DrHippi 4-1 to qualify for the quarterfinals. He plays a mean Mage and is forgoing the Warrior for a Warlock in the playoffs.

The 16-year-old is known as the "Young Savage" and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him make a run for the finals.

Che0nsu

Che0nsu is also coming into the playoffs after a 2-0 run in groups, defeating both Hamster and Bbgungun. Despite not having too much success with the Druid deck, Che0nsu is bringing it back for the elimination stage, but dropping Yogg-Saron and a Mire Keeper for Bloodmage Thalnos and Barnes.

Cydonia

Cydonia left the group stages with a 2-1 record, steamrolling Handsomeguy twice 4-0 and 4-1 but losing to the top Chinese player JasonZhou in a close 3-4 match.

He'll have a close match against Che0nsu in the quarterfinals Friday.

DrHippi

DrHippi may find some trouble going into the quarterfinals against HotMeowth. He went 2-1 in the group stages, beating Breath and Yulsic but losing to Amnesiac. To give himself a better shot, DrHippi dropped his Hunter deck for a Warlock deck.

Hamster

Hamster has one of the more interesting decks in the playoffs as the only player with a Priest deck, which saw some success in the group stage. Hamster went 2-1, sweeping Bbgungun, beating Naiman in a close 4-3 match and losing to Che0nsu.

HotMeowth

HotMeowth has been a bit of a surprise in this tournament, coming into the playoffs with a 2-0 record. He beat OmegaZero and upset Pavel 4-1.

HotMeowth dropped his Hunter deck for a Zoo Warlock deck, tipping his hat at Zoolock founder Bearnugget.

Jasonzhou

Jasonzhou is the only player entering the playoffs without a Mage deck, but it didn't slow him down in the group stage. Jasonzhou defeated Cydonia and European favorite (and the only player returning from last year's top eight) ThijsNL for a 2-0 record, coming in strong for his quarterfinals match against Hamster.

Pavel

Pavel is coming into the playoffs with a 2-1 record in the group stage, beating OmegaZero, sweeping DDahyoni and losing to HotMeowth. He switched up his Warrior deck for a Paladin deck and will have a tough match against Amnesiac in the quarterfinals.

All the action will be happening on Twitch starting with the quarterfinals on Friday at 12:15 p.m. PT. The semifinals start at 10:30 a.m. PT Saturday, followed by the finals at 2 p.m.
