The next Hearthstone expansion is coming, and it looks like it's coming from the Goblin outpost Gadgetzan.

The official Hearthstone Twitter teased an upcoming expansion with a postcard saying "Greetings from Gadgetzan" over an image of the coastal Goblin town, located in the desert of Tanaris. If Hearthstone continues the pattern of alternating adventure and expansion releases, expect a whole bunch of new Gadgetzan-themed cards in the next six months.

That asterisk is answered at the bottom of the postcard in very fine print. It reads:

The word "safe" is not meant to constitute a binding agreement and does not imply safety, security, protection, preservation, peace of mind, confidence, reliability, dependability, or trustworthiness.

It goes on to list all the various dangers and injury-causing events that Mayor Noggenfogger is not responsible for.

Gadgetzan is run by a band of goblins called the Steamwheedle Cartel. It's one of the few locations in the game with a neutral bank and auction house, meaning members of the Horde and Alliance can sell and buy items across enemy lines.

The town is home to another unique feature: the Thunderdrome. The Thunderdrome is a large cage set in the middle of the town where heroes can fight against increasingly difficult enemies. Think of it like a tiny arena that existed before official arenas were introduced in the game.

Surrounding Gadgetzan is an immense desert full of giant bugs, snakes, and dune worms, and pirates lurk off the coast. It's not the most ideal place to live, but it definitely has a lot of potential for cool cards.

After the postcard teaser on Tuesday, a new edition of The Gadgetzan Gazette -- a fictional newspaper -- was posted on the Hearthstone website, featuring a story about a "110 percent unrobbable" new bank, and ads for loans, the Gadgetzan Emporium, funnel cakes, a bar and a used mount dealership.

There is a link under the advertisement for Talan's Bar which takes you to a Facebook Messenger bot where you get to talk to Talan, the owner of Gadgetzan's only bar. It's a pretty funny bot, and when asked when the next Hearthstone expansion is coming out, it replied: "I dunno. The crowd in this place doesn't really like keeping track of time."

Blizzard has a habit of announcing Hearthstone expansions at BlizzCon, which will be going on Nov. 4 and 5, so you probably won't have to wait too long for more details. In the meantime, Talan can fix you up some nasty-looking drinks while you wait.
