This video is going viral.

Yes, it's true. Hillary Clinton did say "activist bitches supporting bitches," as other media outlets reported on Friday after a tweet from political commentator Alex Mohajer went viral.

Why? Someone who ran an activist organization named after that phrase asked her to do so during a lunch event in New York this week.

You can watch Clinton say it here:

Here's the transcript:

Clinton: Hey everyone. I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for your feminism. Thanks for your activism, and all I can hope is you keep up the really important, good work.

Another person: Can you say the name of the “Activism Bitches Supporting Bitches"?

Clinton: And let me just say this is directed to the “Activist Bitches Supporting Bitches,” so let’s go.

Mohajer posted the video Friday evening shortly after the New York Times published a report on a senior adviser to Clinton keeping a top adviser of her 2008 campaign even after a staffer accused him of sexual harassment.

But while The Hill and others made a connection between the two events, Mohajer told Mashable, "That's not true at all." He had posted it shortly after he received it.

Our member shared it with us. I thought it was funny and charming and boosted my spirits a bit. That it's even a media story just seems a bit strange.

The President of the United States just gave a speech on the international stage in Davos yesterday riddled with lies, he faces an interview with Special Counsel Robert Mueller when he returns over his campaigns possible conspiracy with a foreign hostile power to coordinate acts of cyber aggression against the United States of America (that are still on-going).

That the media would even catch wind of this video wasn't even on my radar.

As to the video's origin story, Mohajer had this to share with Mashable:

I co-founded an advocacy group/podcast called Bros 4 America, though during the election season we were Bros 4 Hillary and began as a tongue in cheek response to the misogynistic and racial overtures we saw gaining traction in the other campaigns at the time.

Our message was simple: our "Bros" are all of us, and all are welcome, and accordingly we built a majority-female group that numbers around 45,000 across our different platforms.

We frequently overlap membership with various other resistance groups and support groups and a part of an unofficial network that formed during and after the election.

One of our members was at a lunch with Hillary in New York and asked her to shout out her group of feminist activists literally called "Activist Bitches Supporting Bitches," several of whom are also Bros 4 America, so was shared with us.

It's a funny moment and a reminder of her trademark strength and humor, but also a reminder to keep working hard towards our goal of a blue wave in the 2018 midterms.

In summary, Clinton said "activist bitches" this week. Carry on.
