Clinton beats Trump 4 to 2.

Albeit not the final outcome of the US election, but the first of the results to come in from the township of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire, which traditionally votes early on Election Day.

More reporters than residents -- just eight -- gathered in a single ballroom of the town to watch the results: Hillary Clinton 4, Donald Trump 2, Gary Johnson 1 and -- surprisingly -- Mitt Romney 1.

Clinton supporters have reason to be cautiously optimistic: the town's voters have correctly picked the winner in three of the last four contests.

In the Senate's race, Republican Kelly Ayotte and Democrat Maggie Hassan each got four votes. In the governor's race, Republican Chris Sununu picked up 6 votes, while Democrat Colin Van Ostern picked up 2.
