As far as memes go, Homer Simpson backing into a bush has been pretty reliable.

The bit from the 1994 The Simpsons episode "Homer Loves Flanders" has been used to describe fair-weather sports fans who suddenly disappear when their team starts losing, but the image on its own is just funny enough.

While soccer uniforms aren't the kind of thing you'd go putting memes on, that's not such a problem for goalkeeper Nicolás Caprio, who plays for Argentine third division team Ferro Carril Oeste de General Pico.

He's been intriguing the internet lately with his meme-influenced kit.

Caprio seems to have a bunch of other Simpsons-related gear too, like an Itchy and Scratchy top and one with merely an outline of Homer Simpson on it. I'll take 10, please.

Of course, Caprio isn't the first goalkeeper to don pop culture referencing gear while out on the field of an actual professional match.

You'd have to give credit to Uruguayan player Pablo Aurrecochea, who has sported outfits with Krusty the Clown, as well as Batman, Spiderman, and the Pink Panther on them.
