Okay forget everyone else -- this horse named Lorenzo is our favorite Olympic athlete now.

Lorenzo, ridden by Severo Jesus Jurado Lopez of Spain, competed in the Dressage Individual Grand Prix Freestyle with a chill, low-key dance to "Smooth" by Santana featuring Rob Thomas. Lorenzo was unironic in his movements and really just owned the fact that he still loves "Smooth" and doesn't care who knows it.

Take a look at Lorenzo tearing it up here (it's worth the click).

This is the kind of horse you want at your party -- the kind of horse who's going to get out on the dance floor early and get the party started. He'd get there early, bring a bottle of wine and a custom playlist and force everyone to loosen up with some casual dancing.

"That's just Lorenzo," we'd all say. "That's why we all love him so much."

Apparently, Lorenzo finished his routine with "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi.

Unfortunately, Lorenzo's efforts were not enough to medal in the event. It's a tough break, but something tells us Lorenzo is totally chill with the outcome and just happy to be there.

Bless you, horse dancer.
