Frank Underwood's new game jam: 'Agar.io'
Mild spoiler alert: This post contains (mild) spoilers for Season 4 of House of Cards.
Another season of House of Cards, another potential gaming addiction for Frank Underwood.
Mobile game Agar.io is featured so prominently in Episode 9 of just-launched Season 4 that it almost seems like an advertisement. Underwood has a tense meeting with his new Republican rival, New York Gov. Will Conway (Joel Kinnaman), but the tension is broken when he asks Conway if he plays any video games.

Conway quickly whips out a phone to show Underwood Agar.io, a multiplayer mobile game that has become a cult hit -- gaining 2 billion YouTube views for videos of its gameplay.
Underwood has a long history with gaming, from playing Call of Duty to blow off steam in Season 1, to enjoying contemplating sessions of mobile game Monument Valley in Season 3.
For those who haven't played Agar.io, I'll let Conway explain the rules:
"You start out as a little bitty dot, and then you eat these other dots and get bigger. The bigger you get, you've gotta avoid getting eaten by the bigger players. Meanwhile, you're trying to eat the smaller players."
"Sounds a little like running for president," Underwood responds.
