'House of the Dragon' Season 2 is officially in production
According to a press release from HBO, production on House of the Dragon Season 2 is underway.
Based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood, the second season of the fantasy hit will continue to tell the story of the Targaryen civil war, known as the Dance of the Dragons. Following the explosive events of the Season 1 finale, battle lines have been drawn between those who support Rhaenyra's (Emma D'Arcy) claim to the throne of Westeros, and those who support her half-brother Aegon's (Tom Glynn-Carney) claim.
In HBO's press release, House of the Dragon co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal said, "We are thrilled to be shooting again with members of our original family as well as new talents on both sides of the camera. All your favorite characters will soon be conspiring at the council tables, marching with their armies, and riding their dragons into battle. We can't wait to share what we have in store."
