Before the Apple HomePod can stream music, read you the news, or replace your morning alarm clock, you'll have to set the darn thing up.

Thankfully for those itching to get their hands on the forthcoming smart speaker, a new video shows just how painless that process is going to be.

Published by iOS developer Guilherme Rambo, the walkthrough is derived from the iOS 11 developer beta 7 that was released on August 21, and provides us with an inside look at what's coming down the pike.

"It's not just a video," Rambo emphasized over Twitter direct message. "I ran the actual process in the iOS Simulator and recorded the screen."

"It will be very simple and not very different from setting up AirPods or an Apple TV," explained Rambo. "Looks like Apple is transitioning into this seamless setup experience for all of their devices."

The developer tweeted out another series of videos earlier today, depicting what appear to be new ways of activating the Control Center and a fresh method of engaging the app switcher — something we would expect to find in an iPhone 8 future that lacks the Home button.

But back to the HomePod setup. Rambo tweeted out that the "same setup method will be adopted for Apple TV," and posted a video demonstrating just how easy it will theoretically be to get your Apple TV up and running.

So there you have it: Weaving the HomePod into your life will be a breeze. Now all you have to do is wait until the actual device itself goes on sale — something that isn't slated to take place until December of 2017. Which, hey, not everything can have such a quick turnaround.
