Marvel's First Family relaunched on the big screen this summer and blew the box office away. Now, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is coming to take over the streaming world.

Directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), First Steps stars Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch — a lineup Mashable's reviewer calls "exceptional."

If you missed the new MCU movie in theaters, now's your chance to check it out at home. Here's everything you need to know about how to watch The Fantastic Four: First Steps, including when and where it's streaming.

What is The Fantastic Four: First Steps about?

Set in a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps reintroduces Marvel's First Family as they face the ultimate trolley problem. Planet-eating Galactus (Ralph Ineson) has marked Earth as next on his menu, but promises to spare it if Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal) and Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby) give up their newborn baby, Franklin. It's up to the Fantastic Four to save both the world and Franklin — as a family.

Check out the official trailer for a first look:

Is The Fantastic Four: First Steps worth watching?

"First Steps is, in a word, fantastic," Mashable's reviewer Siddhant Adlakha writes. He also calls it "one of the best MCU films in years," and as you know, there have been dozens. Others appear to agree, as the movie currently holds a solid 87 percent Rotten Tomatoes score from critics and a stellar 91 percent from audiences.

"It’s been ages since a Marvel movie has succeeded like The Fantastic Four: First Steps, a delightful throwback adventure nestling a family soap opera. In many ways, no entry in the MCU has felt as detailed or inspired, let alone shown as much adoration for Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's comic book source material," Adlakha writes. "You know what they say: the thirty-seventh time's the charm."

Even if you're a jaded MCU fan, we think First Steps could be the movie to get you out of your superhero slump.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is officially available to watch at home as of Sept. 23, 2025 on digital and as of Nov. 5 on streaming. See the details below.

Buy or rent it on digital

The Fantastic Four: First Steps became available to watch at home via video-on-demand on Sept. 23, 2025, two months post-theatrical release. You can now purchase the film for your digital library on apps like Prime Video and Apple TV. A rental option was also available, but recently disappeared. We're hoping it will be available to rent for a cheaper price in the coming days.

You can purchase the film at the following retailers:

Stream it on Disney+

Disney+ is the streaming home of every film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it's no surprise that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will make its streaming debut alongside the others. You can stream The Fantastic Four: First Steps on Disney+ beginning Nov. 5, 2025.

Not yet a Disney+ subscriber? Subscriptions now start at $11.99 per month after a recent price hike, but we've rounded up a few of the best ways you can save some money on the streaming service below.

The best Disney+ streaming deals

Best Disney+ deal: save 17% on an annual subscription

You can save some money on a Disney+ subscription on its own by signing up for an annual plan upfront. The yearly plan without ads will cost you $189.99 per year, which breaks down to $15.83 per month instead of the usual $18.99 per month. That's 17% or a total of $37.89 in savings. When you check out, be sure to select Disney+ Premium, then "annual" to secure the discount for the year. Unfortunately, there is no annual plan available for the cheaper ad-supported tier.

Best Disney+ bundle deal: save 44% on Hulu and Disney+

Want more bang for your buck? Disney's bundle deals are hard to beat — even with the latest price hike. You can bundle Disney+ with Hulu (both with ads) for just $12.99 per month, which basically gets you Disney+ for $1 per month (44% in savings). You could also go ad-free and get both for $19.99 per month. Want even more for your money? Add HBO Max or ESPN+ into the mix for a three-part bundle that'll cost you $19.99 per month (with ads).

Best Disney+ deal for Verizon Wireless customers: save $9.99/month on the Disney Bundle

$10 per month for Verizon customers with myPlan (save $9.99 per month)

Verizon Wireless customers can save $9.99 per month on the Disney Bundle through Verizon myPlan. Just add a Disney Bundle to your account through myPlan, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select (all with ads). The trio bundle would regularly cost you $19.99 per month, but by signing up through this myPlan deal, you'll only pay $10 per month. That's practically unheard of in the streaming world.

Best way to get Disney+ for free: get the Total Wireless $60 plan

Free with the Total Wireless $60 plan (save $18.99 per month)

Total Wireless customers on the $60 per month prepaid unlimited plan can enjoy Disney+ Premium (no ads) for free. No terms or trial periods. That's an $18.99 per month value tacked onto your phone plan for $0. Just keep your account in good standing, and your Disney+ account will remain active. If you're on the $50 per month plan, you're also eligible for six free months of Disney+. You can extend your trial by upgrading to the $60 per month plan.
