If you're interested in all things Android, then you'll want to watch Google's The Android Show: I/O Edition event on Tuesday, May 13.

Usually, we learn about all the new Android updates during the annual Google I/O event, but this year, Google's doing things a little differently. Google is carving out a spotlight for Android ahead of its Gemini-saturated Google I/O event on May 20, 2025.

Enter: The Android Show, designed to let the world’s most ubiquitous operating system stretch its legs.

Hosted by Android Ecosystem President Sameer Samat, the event is teed up to deliver a rapid-fire preview of what’s on deck for Android. Expect Android 16 announcements, Wear OS updates, and all things Android-adjacent. And yes, it could be the perfect time for Google to go in-depth on Android XR — the software layer powering Samsung’s upcoming Project Moohan mixed reality headset, which is slated to land later this year.

Where to watch The Android Show: I/O Edition

Google’s Android Show is set to stream live on Tuesday, May 13, at 10 a.m. PDT via the Android Developers YouTube channel. You’ll find the livestream embedded below.
