Miami Hurricane football faces its first road test of the 2023 season as the team heads to Philadelphia to take on the Temple Owls this weekend. The Canes have won the last 13 meetings between the two teams and are the clear favorite going into the week four matchup. Miami has not started a season 4-0 since 2017, so it's a chance to prove themselves — but that doesn't mean their win is a guarantee. Anything can happen and the Temple Owls certainly seek to ruin the Canes' undefeated record with a massive upset at home.

Can't make it out to Philly for the game? Here's what you need to know to tune in live from your couch.

Kickoff time and network

The Temple Owls will host the Miami Hurricanes at Lincoln Financial stadium in Philadelphia at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 23. The game will be televised on ESPN2 for those with cable, but you can still tune in live if you recently canceled your cable contract. All you need is a provider login, which can be obtained by subscribing to a live TV streaming service (more on that below).

Best streaming services for Miami vs. Temple football matchup

Wondering how the heck to watch live college football games during the 2023-2024 season after ditching your cable contract? We've got you covered. The Miami vs. Temple game airs live on ESPN2, which means you'll need a live TV streaming service in order to tune in. Strangely enough, ESPN+ does not simulcast every live game from ESPN networks. We know — it's confusing. Fortunately, live TV streamers will serve you well throughout the college football season, as many of them offer a massive lineup of sports channels. Below, we've helped you out with our top picks for the Temple vs. Miami game and beyond.

Best overall: YouTube TV

Our favorite live TV streaming service overall, YouTube TV offers a huge lineup of over 100 live TV channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, SEC Network, ABC, CBS, NBC, the CW, Big Ten Network, and plenty more. It also gives you unlimited DVR space, six household accounts, and three simultaneous streams. You'll be able to tune into the Miami vs. Temple game live on ESPN2 this Saturday, as well as many other games throughout the rest of the season. Start watching commitment-free for 20 minutes to test out the service, then subscribe to a free trial for up to 14 days (trial period may vary). After your trial ends, you can either choose to keep your subscription for an attractive introductory rate of $54.99/month for three months ($72.99/month thereafter) or cancel at any time.

Runner-up live TV streaming service: FuboTV

Like YouTube TV, FuboTV offers a massive lineup of channels. Unlike YouTube TV, it's specifically aimed at sports coverage, making it a great option for those into live sports of all shapes and sizes. While it's a little pricier than YouTube TV, it still offers a lot of bang for your buck. Plus, you can test it out for a week — which gives you the ability to watch the Miami vs. Temple matchup for free — before paying. Should you decide to stick around after your free trial, you'll pay $74.99/month for the Pro tier or $84.99/month for the Elite tier to continue your subscription.

Most affordable live TV streaming service: Sling TV (Orange package)

Sling TV may offer a smaller library of channels compared to the other options on this list, but it is by far the cheapest live TV streaming service on the market. Plus, you can always choose to add on extra channels to suit your viewing preferences. To watch Temple take on Miami, you'll need the Orange package, which regularly retails for $40/month. Sling is offering an introductory rate of just $20/month for your first month for a limited time, which should give you plenty of college football games for a low cost. If you don't want to be charged full price after your first month, be sure to cancel.

Best live TV streaming deal: Hulu + Live TV

While it's not usually our top pick, Hulu is currently offering a great deal on its live TV streaming service. Through Oct. 11, you can get three months of Hulu + Live TV for only $49.99/month — that's $20/month in savings. Not only can you watch the Miami vs. Temple matchup on ESPN2, but also plenty of other games throughout the next three months on networks like ABC, Big Ten Network, ESPN, CBS Sports Network, Fox, FS1, ACC Network, and more. After your first three months, it'll jump back up to $69.99/month, so be sure to cancel ahead of time if you don't want to be charged full price.
