Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan tweets about being at Istanbul airport hours before the attack
Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan has tweeted that he was stuck at the Istanbul's Ataturk Airport a few hours before the three blasts that killed 36 people. Roshan thanked the airport staff for their kindness and sent his prayers for the victims.
The actor had missed the connecting flight at Istanbul, after returning to India from a trip to Africa with his two sons. The three were stuck at the airport for some time after they were unable to get business class tickets to India. However, they managed to take an early economy flight to Mumbai instead, just a few hours before the blasts.
The attacks occurred at 10.15 p.m. local time on June 28, and have left 36 dead and around 147 injured. Istanbul's Ataturk airport is the 11th busiest airport in the world, and gets approximately 61.8 million passengers a year.
