Trivial Pursuit may have gone a bit too hard on the 'find and replace' function

Totally unrelated to that guy who played Wolverine, of course.

Laziness gets the best of us all sometimes, and there's no greater form of modern laziness than smashing that "find and replace" button.

But it can sometimes backfire, as it has reportedly done for the folks behind Hasbro's Trivial Pursuit.

It looks like the decision to find instances of the word "km" and replace them with "kilometres" now means that according to the game, it was the actor Hugh Jackilometresan who starred in Baz Luhrmann's Australia. Poor Hugh Jackman.

Twitter user John Lewis was one of the first comment on the reported error, with his snap of the mistake spreading fast online. "It seemed to go almost viral very quickly, which is weird given that I rarely use Twitter," Lewis told AAP.

Unfortunately for Hasbro, it may not be the only "find and replace" error that has affected the game, with Lewis' tweet bringing others out of the woodwork with their own spotted mistakes.

While it's unclear what edition or print run of Trivial Pursuit is effected, BBC report that the mistake was first spotted in 2015, but failed to go viral.

Oh well. Let they who have not used "find and replace" throw the first stone.

Mashable has commented Hasbro for further comment.
