Hugh Laurie charms again with excitement over Hollywood star
LONDON -- Hugh Laurie is known for being remarkably humble despite his impressive career.
The English actor, one of television's highest paid stars, made waves in America through his leading role in the medical drama House between 2004 and 2012.
And now, the two-time Golden Globe winner has joined the likes of Brits such as Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Sir Ridley Scott and Dame Helen Mirren to be honoured with a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Laurie is quoted in the BBC as saying, "This is not a fair world. I'm 57 now and I've lived a life of extraordinary good fortune from start to finish, so much so I'm anticipating a piano falling on my head to redress the balance.
"I've been incredibly lucky. I'm going to bask in this extraordinary honour and my extraordinary good luck and I'll set to work first thing tomorrow on the global unfairness problem."
The Guardian reports that longtime friend and fellow comedian Stephen Fry paid tribute to Laurie, saying, “He’s slightly knock-kneed and his nipples are too far apart, but he’s otherwise almost perfect."
Fry added of his “repulsively handsome” friend that he is also “preposterously talented.” Indeed, Laurie has a novel to his name, several credits in directing and producing, and moonlights as a blues and jazz musician to boot.
