Live blog: Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine moves up East Coast
Northwest Florida had its first hurricane landfall in nearly 11 years early Friday morning, when Hurricane Hermine roared ashore at around 1:30 a.m. ET, causing significant storm surge flooding along with high winds and damage from heavy rains.
Now the focus turns to the storm's impacts in the Mid-Atlantic, where the storm is forecast to stall out for days off the coast. This may slam the coastline with high seas, coastal flooding and heavy rain for several days in a row.
