Carolinas still drying out from Hurricane Matthew
It's been a week since Hurricane Matthew lashed the south Atlantic U.S. coast, but parts of the area are still drying out from historic floods caused by the storms.
While aerial images captured the immense nature of the floods and showed water several feet high up on buildings, there was also the human element to contend with.
Hundreds in the region were trapped by flood waters, sending rescuers out on boats, canoes, and anything else that could float to rescue men, women, children, and even pets in the affected areas. And the rescues will continue as swollen rivers continue to crest across the region.
