5 year-old tries to understand 2016 election with hard-hitting, hilarious questions

"I voted for pizza!"

"Where did Barack Obama go?"

"Why do we have the president we have now at the same spot anyways?"

"How come Hillary did not get to be the president and why is she the loser and what are they even supposed to be winning?"

These are all questions that 5-year-old Taylor is dying to get to the bottom of in a hilarious series of videos shared by her mother on Instagram. The political inquisition is equal parts adorable and relatable.

According to her mother, tabgeezy, the questioning started because she wanted to know where the president's house is located — and, also, what happened to Barack Obama, who's been golfing and speaking around the world and neglecting all of us here.

In response, Taylor gets a lesson in how people vote (which she's done before -- she explains that at school, she voted for pizza) and her mother begins to attempt to explain the electoral college before chalking it up to "it's a long story."

"So Barack Obama voted for the president we have now?," Taylor asks, before coming to the conclusion that perhaps, more people voted for Donald Trump, which is why Hillary Clinton lost.

Once she understands why Trump is currently the president, she moves onto important things. "Why does he have to live there?" she exclaims. "I don't want him living in Texas." Her mother corrects her, saying he doesn't live in Texas, but that doesn't stop Taylor from being upset.

"I don't want him to be our president anyway. I want Hillary and Barack Obama," she says.

"She asked if she could watch the news with me so she can learn all the things I know," tabgeezy wrote as a caption.

In 30 years, hopefully she'll have watched enough news to run for a stint in the White House herself, asking the tough questions and voting for pizza on behalf of us all.
