It's really...chill.

ASMR videos are all the rage, and now time things are getting chilly.

This ice-eating ASMR trend is popping up all over Chinese social media. It's exactly as it sounds: people are posting videos of themselves eating ice. Really beautiful ice.

In the usual ASMR fashion, the focus is on the soothing crunch that comes from the sound created when biting into ice. Sometimes the ice is brightly colored and cutely shaped to make the whole thing more aesthetically pleasing.

Buzzfeed notes that this trend started on Chinese video-sharing app Kwai, where the hashtag #吃冰 (which is pronounced "chi bing" and means "eat ice") had thousands of posts.

A lot of the ice eating Instagram posts were originally Kwai videos. These posts are racking up thousands of views and likes.

The ice isn't limited to simple frozen water. Some videos feature frozen milk treats and frozen chocolate.

Much like soap-cutting and kinetic sand-crumbling and floral foam-crushing, this ice-eating trend is both quite odd and incredibly soothing.

Take a moment to let these ice-eating videos lull you into a state of... chill.
