Idris Elba just casually played a fire DJ set at an Australian nightclub
British actor Idris Elba is quite the keen DJ, if you didn't know already.
So even in the midst of a busy Australian stay (filming Thor: Ragnarok with his mates Hiddleston and Hemsworth), the Luther star managed to squeeze in an impromptu gig in at a Sydney club on Thursday night.
Elba was billed under his real name, and not under his other DJ moniker Big Driis, and naturally his set attracted plenty of keen punters even though it happened to be a school night.

Although Elba was due to play after 11:30 p.m., those in queue at 9:30 p.m. were told by bouncers that it would be a "two hour wait" to get in.
Bad luck if you were dressed in sneakers too, because you wouldn't be getting in to the jam-packed club for Elba's set. It was just that busy.

But if you were lucky enough to get in, it was an intimate encounter, with Elba playing his signature house set to a crowd that chanted his name and tried to shake hands with the star.
